The TGIA Seminar offers the most current and comprehensive information on street and prison gangs available.  Seminar instructors are considered to be experts in their respective fields.  The conference is designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced persons dealing with street and prison gangs and their activities.

SEMINAR PARTICIPANTS:

Attendance at the TGIA Training Conference is limited to TGIA members, judges,
and criminal justice professionals including sworn law enforcement officers, correctional officers, probation officers, criminal analysts, and prosecuting attorneys.

Official identification will be required at registration and may be demanded at any conference presentation or function.  NOTE: NO TAPE RECORDINGS OR PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO TAPING WILL BE ALLOWED without the written permission of the Texas Gang Investigators Association.  Personal laptop computers are permitted in all conference sessions, subject to the above restrictions.

TRAINING CREDITS:

T.C.L.E.O.S.E. Training Credit - 30 Hours

Continuing Education Credits will be available for these agencies:

  • Texas Department of Criminal Justice
  • Community Justice Assistance Division (CJAD)
  • Texas Juvenile Probation Commission

REGISTRATION AND FEES:

The conference registration fee is $200.00 per person and covers the below items.  Attendance is limited to the first 800 participants.  Persons who do not register online cannot be guaranteed a place at the conference.

Online registration MUST be completed by 5:00PM on Friday, June 04, 2010. 

When you complete the online registration process, an invoice will be generated automatically.  Please print and mail a hard copy of your invoice with your payment to the address below.  NOTE: Please check that your Accounts Payable Division has the correct mailing address below. This is a brand new address for the 2010 Conference.

You may pay by check, money order or Purchase Order.  No credit cards or cash will be accepted for payment.

Payment should be made out to the Texas Gang Investigators Association and mailed to the address below. Please do not bring payment with you to the conference.

The only requirement to attend is that you register online before the June 04, 2010 closing date.

PURCHASE ORDERS:

Purchase Orders should be made out to the Texas Gang Investigators Association and faxed to (512) 469-3995.  Make sure all attendees' names are listed on the Purchase Order.  Mail payments to the address below with a copy of your invoice and / or Purchase Order.

A confirmation letter will be sent to you via e-mail with site and detailed conference information prior to the conference.  If you have not received a confirmation by June 11, 2010, please call Stacy Janecka at (512) 475-4600 to confirm that you are registered.  You may be denied entrance to the conference if you do not have a copy of the confirmation letter with you at check-in.  It is imperative that you input your e-mail address.

Cancellations MUST be in writing via e-mail to stacy.janecka@oag.state.tx.us no later than 5:00 p.m., June 11, 2010, for participants to have their registration fee refunded. "No Shows" will be billed the entire registration fee of $200.00.
