2020 Training Conference is Cancelled
Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the Texas Gang Investigators Association (TGIA) Board has decided we have no choice but to make the necessary and responsible decision to CANCEL the 2020 TGIA Annual Conference.
Since March 11, 2020, when the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to be a global pandemic, our board has been closely monitoring the advice and counsel of our national leaders, health experts, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Center for Disease Control (CDC), Bexar County government officials, etc.
Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of everyone (our attendees, speakers, vendors, board members, & Omni Hotel staff) associated with our conference is paramount, and serves as the reason for our decision to cancel our 2020 TGIA Conference for the first time in our 29-year history. Put simply, the decision to cancel the 2020 TGIA was one of the most difficult decisions this board has faced, but it is the right thing to do during this historic time.
Refunds for registrants and vendors will be processed beginning next Monday, May 11, 2020. If you would like to transfer your payment to the 2021 Texas Gang Investigators Association Conference registration to guarantee your spot, please email the TGIA Treasurer (email@example.com) by Monday, May 11, 2020 and your 2020 payment will be transferred to the 2021 conference to guarantee your spot. Please allow our volunteer Treasurer some time to process full registration fee refunds for the hundreds of members and vendors who registered for this 2020 TGIA conference. If you or your agency has not received your refund by June 1, 2020, please email the TGIA Treasurer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
